Who am I? Not Spider-Man, that's for sure.

So who is the man - well, girl - behind that mysterious and entirely uninformative introduction in my sidebar? Call me Morgan, for that's my name and entertainment's my game. In other words, I'm a -sneeze, cough- year old student from Texas with way too much time on her hands trying for the eight billionth time to get a consistent blog going. My real life's boring, so I thought, "hey, why not just talk about the stuff that consumes my life that other people enjoy too? You know: movie, books, video games and the like?"

Sounded like a good idea to me.

A word of warning to the wise:

If you're expecting some deep, serious reviewing blog based off of my clever use of alliteration above, I'm here to erase that thought from your mind. I'm not a great reviewer - I am easy to please and very easily entertained. Mostly I'm just here to share what i think and exercise my writing skills. Many of my posts will probably be purely reaction responses with little higher thought put into them and my opinion of something can literally change from day to day.

Take movies for example: my opinion of a film is almost always unreasonably positive (or negative, in some cases), the first time I see it in theaters. Something about that popcorn smell, I don't know. Flicks can sometimes drop a whole letter grade when I see them a second time.

Speaking of the ABCs -

I'll have a couple of different kinds of posts: reaction posts, review posts, rant-like posts, follow-up posts, etc. Reviews will be most likely be the most organized of the lot and tend to have letter grades near the end. Pay attention now, 'cuz this is important:

I have a sliding grading system.

What does this mean? Basically, it's all relative. I might give two movies the same grade, but you can't really use the grades as a basis for how good they are compared to each other. I love both The Godfather and Back to the Future, and I might give them both "A"s, but The Godfather is clearly a superior film.

In other words...

Don't take me seriously. I don't take me seriously. I just want to write, share, and have a place to rant about the random stuff I experience everyday - instead of, you know, doing my homework.
